Thanks! A very interesting list. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is usually considered to be a full zoological facility, and often the different parks (bird, reptile, aquarium) are classed as individual facilities because of the separation and individual entrance fees. :)

I didn't know there were animals in Mekarsari - do you remember which animals were on display? :)

When I first posted on the original thread on January 1, 2013, I had only visited 11 zoos/aquariums (and only 8 really count as the other 3 were visited when I was a child and thus were not what I would consider proper visits). Now just over 5 years later on January 27, 2018, I have visited 86 collections from three countries: 53 in the United States, 30 in England, and 3 in Scotland. Going off of the original thread, I moved up 4 slots from the lowest to the second highest during this time. I certainly hope this trend continues through the years and I'm able to continue to climb to the numbers many of the rest of you boast!

I'm not counting that reptile zoo anymore because it's just a pet store with all their "zoo" species also up for sale despite being kept in a separate area from the main pet store.

I have visited 450 facilities worldwide and can provide list. I grew up in Florida during 1950-1960s and visited many roadside facilities which are now closed. They are listed on Florida vacations website for closed attractions.
 
Giant Eland, Buenos aires zoo is not closed,it is being changed into an ecopark. This means that non native species are not bred, many have been sent to other zoos or sanctuaries and are being slowly phased out. The same is happening at Mendoza zoo also in Argentina. It is quite stupid and occurs when severe budget cuts and anti zoo activists come together. I do cry for Poor Argentina.

DuPont Nature Center
A small collection in Slaughter Beach, DE. The place itself is nothing special but the birds outside are amazing. I spotted blackbirds, cormorants, gulls, dowitchers, turnstones, knots, and crabs. Unfortunately, I also spotted splinters and bruises from their observation platform's wooden fence.
Salisbury Zoo revisit
A nice little zoo that has gotten better in a few short weeks. The main highlight are the roadrunners. The Guanaco is definitely dead. Worst exhibit and only bad one is the Spectacled bear exhibit.
Delmarva Discovery Center revisit
Nothing to add except I forgot to mention snapping turtles in my review.

I'm surprised you didn't stop at Three Palms on your drive through Delaware. I had no idea DuPont has a few animals, I'm about 20 minutes from there and used to do some pet sitting down the road.
