Aardvark born
.

Thanks very much. The only Sumatran I saw was in the inside section on both of my visits.I think both your pictures show the same animal. Malayan male JOHANN.
Might be a bit late, but I figured I'd reply anyways.Does the Prague zoo still keep oncillas?
I saw them in 2011, but not in 2016 and their enclosure was inhabited by hutias.
They are still listed on zootierliste though.
Also, does anyone know if the following species are on display or behind the scenes/not kept anymore?
If they are on display, where in the zoo could I find them?
- Pygmy white-toothed shrew (Suncus etruscus)
- Panay bushy-tailed cloud rat (Crateromys heaneyi)
- Short-eared owl (Asio flammeus)
- Philippine rufous night heron (Nycticorax caledonicus manillensis)
- Spotted crake (Porzana porzana)
- Brush bronzewing (Phaps elegan)
- New Guinea bronzewing (Henicophaps albifrons)
- Blue-winged leaf bird (Chloropsis cochinchinensis)
- Horned lark (Eremophila alpestris)
- Barred laughingtrush (Garrulax lunulatus)
- Silver-eared laugingtrush (Trochalopteron melanostigma)
- Siberian rubythroat (Luscinia calliope)
- Radde´s toad-headed agama (Phrynocephalus raddei)
- Secret toadhead agama (Phrynocephalus mystaceus galli)
- Giant ameiva (Ameiva ameiva)
- Smooth snake (Coronella austriaca)
- Puff-faced water snake (Homalopsis buccata)
- Malagasy cat-eyed snake (Madagascarophis colubrinus)
- Smooth newt (Lissotriton vulgaris)
- Treasury Island tree frog (Litoria thesaurensis)
That's a rather extraordinarily unexpected addition!According to ztl, Prague now keeps a pair of Crozet shags, the first zoo to ever hold some. Does anyone know where they came from or if they are on-show (probably not?)
The Rákos Pavilion is the new macaw / lori aviaries, right?Zoo has begun work for new australian comlex. It will be home for Tasmania devils, Wombats, Swamp wallabies and other species of wallaby, Lord Howe Island stick insect, Echidna and australian birds. Exhibits will be located below the Rákos Pavilion and construction works are one of the reason why the Rákos Pavilion will be opened next year even if it is already completed.

I have access to arrivals database of the zoo and no Phalacrocorax melanogenys came. Prague Zoo currently doesn ´t import birds from third countries. The listing on ZTL is without source, probably someone mistaken them for Phalacrocorax melanoleucus. I already reported it, it should be erased.According to ztl, Prague now keeps a pair of Crozet shags, the first zoo to ever hold some. It's a weird addition to Zootierliste as an error because the species would have to have been added to the website specifically for that purpose (if I recall correctly, there were no other zoo listings, current or former; and regular contributors to the site can't add new species can they?)I have access to arrivals database of the zoo and no Phalacrocorax melanogenys came. I could erase it myself, but I let the admin do it. Believe me, if it will be proven that this species is in Prague, I will be the first to post it on ZTL.It's a weird addition to Zootierliste as an error because the species would have to have been added to the website specifically for that purpose (if I recall correctly, there were no other zoo listings, current or former; and regular contributors to the site can't add new species can they?)
