It seems that the creation of a woodland Dino trail has replaced the red deer and hog deer paddocks (alongside some owl aviaries and fox enclosures). The pair of wolves are still on show. The new map suggests reindeer and foxes are visible, with the foxes in a new enclosure, but I'm unsure whether the other inhabitants have been moved off show or to another collection. Any thoughts?
The Reindeer are still where they were, with a new fox enclosure just before them if you enter the woodland that end. The Red & hog deer are in a new paddock on the opposite side of the path to the Fox. I assume the Owl aviaries at the other end of the trail near old fox enclosure have gone, but the path was shut off when I was there 2 months ago for the dinosaur construction work
Currently that strip is occupied by Ocelot and Corsac Fox.

On social media, PWP say they have 12 big cats. I presumed the breakdown was:
— 1 white tiger
— 2 Amur tigers
— 3 jaguars
— 3 white lions
— 2 snow leopard
— 1 cheetah
I always thought they had two or three cheetah but seemingly not. Could they possibly bring in more cheetah from their sister site?

I’d personally rather see them go out of a species and upgrade the facilities for what they already have - I couldn’t help but think when I visited PWP last spring that their collection was ambitious beyond their means.

Nocturnal house redevelopment has fallen behind due to the weather, with the Jaguar and monkey (I think) enclosures taking priority.
I believe it's actually 2 jaguars and 4 white lions currently.
I spoke to one of the guys from the family who owns the zoo recently, and they are aware that some of their enclosures are less than perfect, but he said that many of their animals are old and beloved, so they're effectively waiting for their passing before updating/converting the enclosures.
It was definitely 3 Jags on our recent visit - Male / Female plus the most recent female cub. They are also extending the Jaguar enclosure.
Oh that is my mistake, I apologise, I must not have seen the little one when I went! I'm sure the number of 12 big cats must be outdated then, as there are definitely 4 white lions and all the other numbers given above also seem correct!
On another note, I'm intrigued, what did you think of the park generally?

The white lions are having a new exhibit created for them for 2019. Their enclosure will then be renovated for the white tiger Baikal, who is moving to the sister site, Big Cat Sanctuary for the duration of the works

That is good news - I've never liked their lion enclosure either.
Glad to see they are upgrading their big cat enclosures.
As they dont breed white lions anymore do you think that in the future they will go back to keeping tawny lions or do you think they will continue to have white lions?
