I saw it just a moment ago. Do u really think that the zoo will get African leopards. I think they might do what San Diego did with there Africa exhibit.
Yeah they'll likely use Amur Leopard. I'm more curious about the pangolins and Quokka listed.

I'm not sure exactly how they developed their potential species lists; quokkas and pangolins seem pretty out there to me. The actual species list will end up being considerably shorter than what's on there, and the list will probably change to reflect species availability in the next decade or two as this plan is implemented.

They need to first find out how much it will cost and get it approved by the city. Then they have to find funding for the master plan. We still have a long wait before we see anything from this plan actually built.

Because the zoo is owned by the city and has to go through the buereucratic process of getting things approved. The zoo is partly funded by taxes but the master plan will need major fundraising from other sources considering its scale.
Well I imagined that. I don't understand why they can't do there exhibits in phases like they did with there last master plan. It would certainly be a lot easier.
They certainly will do this in phases. This is a 25 year plan I believe. The master plan is more of a guideline that the zoo plans on following. And being that the zoo is owned by the city, that plan needs to be approved by them. Part of the plan involves how much it may cost. Those cost projections will probably have huge influence on what parts of the plan are approved by the city. This isn’t the final plan though and depending on what gets approved and what doesn’t, it will most likely will change.
All that needs to happen before any ground is broken.
