Longleat Safari & Adventure Park Longleat Safari Park News 2018

If I win I'll give you half, if not you owe me a quid.:)

It's been that long since I played the lottery I thought you were expecting me to cover the lot! Now I've checked it out and it does genuinely cost 2 quid then we have a deal Shorts... I'll forward you your cash after Saturday! :D :p

On today’s Animal Park episode (23rd August) during the sealion feeding segment there appeared to be a half-constructed building in the background. Any ideas?

Same answer as we so often have to give you - we don’t know.

This is a zoo enthusiasts site, not a site where we all have a clairvoyant sense of what will happen in the future at a zoo...
Wait no one here is a clairvoyant. I want my money back! Who gave me a reading and wasn’t really a psychic?!:p

No, as I said previously, that was the original plan. They now intend on filling it with a group of thylacines, dodos and, if memory serves, a couple of woolly mammoths although I think they are due to go to Highland Wildlife Park...?
You can't mix thylacines with dodos, they bite the hell out of each other. Mammoths just flatten stuff. Be realistic!

You could always mix the Mammoth with a Sabre tooth tiger and bring in a sloth it's worked once before remember..... I forsee Longleat creating an iceberg for Anne's paddock although. "Longleat in Ice Age"

The old elephant could live a good few more years but when she eventually dies, it is likely that other elephants would be brought in. There are loads of young bull elephants being born around European zoos and also older females in unsuitable conditions such as the recent twycross situation.

The final episode of Animal Park this morning confirmed that the European Wolves have had 6 pups.

So How did everyone enjoyed watching Animal Park

Very interesting. Was nice that old favourites like Nico the gorilla, Steph the zebra & Buster the sea lion featured. JEDD do you know whether Becky the giraffe is still alive ?

Despite the hot weather for 3 months the animals are doing well. The first 2 Spotted Hyenas are settling in well into their new home. Anne the Asian Elephant is also doing so well

September is now getting close as it'll soon be time for me to on my way and I don't know what dates yet but I'll announce it soon
