I am on the hunt for information about breeding red-ruffed lemurs, anything would help because within the past year we have gotten a new breeding male and 2 new females in our red ruffed exhibit. Would anyone be able to inform me on what size the nesting box has to be? We were thinking about just having a general area ( pretty big probably around 4 feet by 2 feet which would be enclosed) to where they could go into. We would love to have it setup for the next breeding season and have them acclimated to it

you should put at least two nesting boxes in the enclosure, the females tend to move their offspring a few days after birth. I would make the boxes appr. 1000 large x 60cm wide x 60cm high. With en entrance of appr. 20cm large x 30cm on one of the corners of the longest side, and just besides the entrance a dividing wall with at the end a same sized opening (creating a small corridor and a dark environment in the box).
