The link specifies Muneca's birthplace and year of birth as "Brunei, Cambodia around 1967". I always thought she was a zoo-born but from the article it seemed she could possibly be a wild-caught animal. I'm not sure where "Brunei, Cambodia" is (the only Brunei I know is that country), but neither N. leucogenys nor N. siki is found in Cambodia. If she is indeed a wild-caught I wonder what is her true identity......
She was wild-caught; there's a studbook here, but the only locality given is "Asia": http://alouattasen.weebly.com/uploads/8/9/5/6/8956452/gibbonwhitecheekedstudbook2011-1f204327.pdfThe link specifies Muneca's birthplace and year of birth as "Brunei, Cambodia around 1967". They have Cloud Rats at Philly? Please tell me you're joking! If this is true, it's amazing!I'm going to have to stop by and try to see it soon! I've been wanting to see one for years, but the Bronx Zoo and the new exhibit at Philly are both so dark that I couldn't see a thing.

I was gonna say! Jumping rats are still cool though, especially mixed with aye-ayes!Double checked and he's a jumping rat, not a cloud rat, sorryIn with the aye-ayes.
Looks like a new Przewalski's horse exhibit is in in the works.
