I watched for quite a while this morning and everything looks good. Talked to the keeper and she said the baby is nursing and they are doing great.
 
I have a question, probably a dumb one. What does "3.2" I'm assuming it means female to male or male to female ratio but I'm not sure. I'm still relatively new to this website and I've seen things like that a lot but I just haven't asked yet.

And if there's a third number that means "of unknown sex" - e.g. 3.2.6 would mean three males, two females, and six which are unsexed.

If there are no females (for example) the numbers would read 3.0.6.

It would be nice to see a few different coua species established in North America. Agree with Thylo I'd love to see some Giant Coua come over!

Are the Blues on exhibit, and if so where?

Hi, I’m new to the forum, but I saw a pair of Blue Coua on exhibit at the Zoo today and came across this thread as I was researching to try to learn more about them, so I thought I would share! There is a breeding pair now on exhibit in an aviary between Scripps Aviary and the Bonobo exhibit. I was told that one male is also now on exhibit in the AGA Aviaries. I’m looking forward to getting to know this species!
