Paris Zoological Park Zoo de Vincennes Paris News

Les Zoos dans le Monde - Base documentaire Base-documentaire. Just type in the name of the collection your searching for

If it isn't listed then it means A) the owner of LZDLM has no guides for that collection (the guides listed are his own private collection) or does not have the edition that your searching for

B ) The collection name is spelt wrong. Try searching for the country and then alphabetically. Otherwise try the short name (ie: Chester's might be Upton or Warminster for Longleat)

I've just come back from a visit to the two zoos of Paris with my family. When we visited Paris zoological park, we learned that a new manatee had arrived earlier this year. From the sign about the new arrival, his name is Kaï and he came from Zoo de Guadeloupe. However, his arrival is not mentioned on their website nor their facebook page. Has anyone else been to Paris zoo recently and learnt about Kaï?

At some point, I will upload some photos that we took at both Parc zoologique de Paris and la Menagerie du Jardin des Plantes.

To add more to my post above: the last I heard before coming to Paris last month was that there were three male manatees; Tinus, Herbert and Husar. But when we came to the manatee tank on our visit, we saw that there was a fourth manatee in the tank. There was a laminated sign on the glass saying that it was a newly arrived male named Kaï. I can't remember from the sign when he came this year, but I do remember it saying that he came from Zoo de Guadeloupe, which is not mentioned on Zootierliste as having ever kept manatee. So I was wondering if anyone else knows?

Are there any published statistics on the zoo's tropical biodome? Like costs and size? I've looked and I haven't been able to find anything.
