The truck stops more and goes inside the lions. It is the clear choice.
The only point in favour of the bus is that it is cheaper and likely to be less crowded.
 
I don't really care about the lions to be honest ;)

Are any of the less kept species of hoofstock (red-necked gazelle, white-tailed wildebeest, maneless zebra etc) safaritruck/bus exclusives or are they visible when on foot as well?
Based on pictures I saw, I got the feeling the gazelles are in the zoo part while the wildebeest are in the safari part. Not sure about the zebras.
 
Has anyone created a species list for this zoo. There doesn't seem to be any list of which animals they house on their website. If anyone can point me in the right direction, please do! Thanks :)

Additionally their yearbook can be downloaded and that contains a full species list, plus the number of individuals. Just google translate yearbook into Czech and google it
 
Zoo will transport 5 black rhinos to Rwanda in may/june 2019

3 will be from Dvur Kralove, the other two are supposedly Olmoti(f) from Flamingo Land and Mandela(m) from Ebeltoft Ree Park Safari

The Black rhino is from the Eastern subspecies and is the 46th birth of this species at Dvur Kralove !

Their genealogy goes back to lions imported in 20th century from Rabat zoo in Marrocco to Europe. How much Barbary lion blood they contain - your guess is as good as mine.

On the other hand, what I find interesting on that link is not whta is written there, but what has actually been ommited (by Czech journalist/intern doing the translation?) when the news was translated from Czech language press release (directly from Dvůr zoo) to international English short press news directed at foreign public.

The original press relase, replicated by most local Czech major media, was pretty detailed and open. It explained for exemple that existing 8 lions kept at the zoo are kept in 4 groups due to incompatibility. One group is mother of this litter, father of the litter and these 2 cubs. Second group consists of 2 old generic lionesses. And then one male and one female (brother of father and sister of mother) are kept solitary.

Another issue omited is euthanasia of another heathy male cub of this litter shortly after birth. Reason given by zoo itself is its gender, another male would be too difficult to place when adult, 2 cubs were deemed enough. So staff decided it was surplus. This is not so unusual at Dvur and their press releases and annual reports are very open about this aspect. Animals euthanised due to management purposes (most often male antelopes) are openly stated.
