Indian rhino born this morning (sex still unkown)

Indian Rhino was born today early morning. It is third rhino born in Warsaw Zoo and for the third time it is male. Parents are Kuba and Shikara.
 
Emu chicks born yesterday (from the zoo's Facebook). It looks like eight chicks.

They seem to have at least half a dozen chicks each year. I wonder where they all go.

I realised at Duisburg last summer that the chicks I saw there were the first I could remember. I had assumed it was like flamingos: it seems every zoo has them, but only a few are actually breeding to maintain a European population.
 
A new species for the zoo: Green Pricklenape, Acanthosaura capra

New species for Warsaw: Grey-winged Trumpeter (Psophia crepitans). One bird has arrived from Halle zoo, Germany; it's name is Ludwig and will be on show soon in the Bird House.
 
I know, I know, it's another post under other my-posts, but Warszawa has just announced their new species - a Balabac chevrotain, Tragulus nigricans! One female came from Antwerp ZOO and lives in Bird House.

It's so true!
Soon after you wrote that, Warsaw announced their success in breeding the Congo peafowl (4th breed this year) and an arrival of another grey-winged trumpeter.
New keeping species are a lilac-breasted roller (from Antwerp) and a pair of crestless fireback. Also this month a guira has hatched :)

Okay, another bird-news for Warsaw :)

From Waddesdon Manor (UK) a pair of Green-naped pheasant-pigeon (Otidiphaps nobilis) come. They live now in Birdhouse.
Also in February new guiras and one great white pelican have hatched.

Has anyone visited the Warshaw Zoo lately and can they tell me if the following species are still on display?

- See-see partridge (Ammoperdix griseogularis)
- Ruffed grouse (Bonasa umbellus)
- Hazel grouse (Bonasa bonasia)
- Western bronze-naped pigeon (Columba iriditorques)

Were the following species put on display (yet) or are they still behind the scenes?
- Red-knobbed Imperial-pigeon (Ducula rubricera)
- Red-bellied fruit-dove (Ptilinopus greyi)
- Yellow-cheeked tit (Machlolophus spilonotus)

Also where in the zoo could I find Pin-tailed sandgrouse (Pterocles alchata)?
Pheasanty? Bird house?

Almost all species of Birds from your list are off show. On show you can see: See-see partridge (one pair), Red-knobbed Imperial-pigeon (two or three birds) and Pin-tailed Sandgrouse (few birds). All this species are on show in Bird House. There are few new species of Birds in zoo (f.e. Stanley's Crane, Lilac-breasted Roller, Brown Eared-pheasant, Crested Tinamou). Please check galery of Warszawa zoo here and my last pictures there...
 
I'm trying to stay away from the gallery. I don't want to have seen the zoo before I've actually visited it.

Bummed out about the ruffed grouse and hazel grouse. I know they were on show at some point but I guess they've been moved offshow.

I'm planning on a visit to Warszaw Zoo at the end of April. Does anyone know if the last Allen's Swamp Monkey is still alive and to be seen in the Monkey House ?

Yes, she was stil alive in February - when I was last time at Warsaw Zoo. She is in one enclosure with one Ring-tailed Lemur in the Monkey House. In winter time Monkey House is open for the public. From spring to autumn all animals are in outside enclosures and the house is close for public.

Allen's swamp monkey still alive on april 3th 2019.
Ruffed grouse was on-show too. Hazel grouse was not.
Pretty sure I saw a bronze-naped pigeon (unlabelled) in the walkthrough section of the bird house.
