Indeed; normally I prefer to avoid using photos of taxidermy specimens but given the wide range of form and colour in this group I felt it was a worthy stopgap whilst we hope for more live photographs

As noted above, a few of them *are* currently in zoological collections, and others have been within living memory..... so you never know. The Crinkle-collared Manucode especially has a decent shot of being uploaded to the gallery, given the fact the last one in Europe died only 10 years ago, was housed with perhaps the most widely-photographed individual Bird-of-Paradise in the zoo world, and there are certainly photographs of the individual in question on ZTL

Olmense Zoo has a taxidermied individual of one of the Epimachus species - I believe brown sicklebill. I'll try and dig around to see if I took any pictures of it on one of my few visits.

EDIT: Found them! I'll upload a few in Olmen's gallery!
