I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, actually. Many of the exhibits (especially for snakes) are far larger than those of AZA zoos. They pride themselves on their crocodilians, which take up a majority of the floor space with 13 species and two hybrids. Some of these exhibits are what I’d say is the worst part. However, the place has a pretty good collection (species list will be posted after my trip) and I enjoyed my visit.I had to look up Reptile Lagoon but its in South of the Border. That place sure is an experience, especially seeing Pedro from the highway for the first time and the signs for 100 miles either direction. I did not know they had a reptile zoo, how was it? I would not expect the highest quality from that place.

I thought you said these didn't count for the challenge.12. Nicobar pigeon, Caloenas nicobarica
I thought you said these didn't count for the challenge.
When @Vision and I were initially writing up the plans for the thread, we found a few sources that referenced the species occurring in Thailand and perhaps India. However, upon further investigation and discussion we have decided now to allow the Nicobar pigeon to count. A new example:
“4.The Trumpet Manucode has a mostly island-restricted range as well, but does occur on the mainland of Australia in one location, so does not count for this challenge.”
I believe this should be Sumatran Orang-utan (Pongo abelii) instead- as San Diego's last Bornean passed away in 2016San Diego Zoo: January 1, 2019
4. Bornean orangutan Pongo pygmaeus
