Is this an all- female group now? They were lucky a male did not escape, things might have not ended so tidily in that case. Belfast do seem to have had more than their fair share of escapes in recent years.
Now,let me see. A Spider Monkey escaped in 2018 sadly getting killed by a car on a nearby motorway. Lion-tailed Macaques escaped in 2013 and 2015.There was also Mojo the (Black & White?) Colobus monkey who absconded for a week.Peter the Polar Bear in 1972 (though whether it was from the zoo,i do not know?). A White-nosed Coati escaping from quarantine. That Red Panda,just last month. And that lion in 1977,does not really count,as he escaped from a nearby circus.!!
Mojo was indeed a black and white colobus. And Peter the polar bear did come from the zoo. He is now on display in the Ulster museum.

They had an adult male when we were there last summer. Amusingly (well, to me) called Andy.
They mentioned him in one of their reports on the escape- I don't think he was one that got out- luckily for them.
1.1 capybara twins were born back in December.

It means the zoo has a male and a female: but whereas the male is young, the female is about 16 years old (though tree kangaroos can live to >20).
