Why are the warthogs off exhibit and whee they ever on exhibit? Also aren't lions coming to the zoo any day now?

The warthogs arrived recently (around September AFAIK) and are scheduled to be on-exhibit about any time now out of quarantine. As for lions, I've heard they want to bring a few in but as of right now I'm not so sure. When the last white lion passed away the grizzlies/kodiak were settled into the exhibit.

I heard recently two lions had already been scheduled to come by the SSP to arrive soon.

Interesting. I'm not sure where they'd put them, though they could put them in The Valley to replace the reindeer (though honestly they probably won't use a lot of space, deeming it a waste of space), unless they're moving the bears somewhere else to a spot I'm not aware of.
 
I believe I've said this elsewhere but you basically crossed off a job I gave to myself to accomplish during the summer: to get a full species lists in Toledo. I was going to last February but the Aquarium, their most vital exhibit IMO, was closed.

Glad to help. It's not 100% complete but I'm filling as much gaps as I can
 
Keet Retreat will not reopen this year the zoo has told me. The Aviary list may change after the renovations. They are being so secretive, something marketable might be added. Museum exhibits may change because it is closed for renovations and not a lot is known about the natural history museum replacement. The zoo two is getting two young male lions according to the new African lion breeding and transfer plan. If there are any 2017 plans, they are unknown and they are not talking. I have tried.

I visited on October 4, 2016, and I saw warthogs in the Africa exhibit.
 
I am interested in the “Flashlight Fish” that are displayed in the aquarium. Can anyone be more specific about what species they are? Any information very gratefully received!

This is a problem of translation! In this context, “should be” means “needs to be, as this is what has happened” - I believe Toledo’s Sloth Bear is at Cleveland now, and, instead, a Spectacled Bear is on display (with the least spectacle-looking face markings I’ve ever seen!).

Sloth bear Kara moved to Omaha. Toledo now has Andean bear Nieve from Wheeling.

Ahhh, in this context I understand much better! It means about be replaced in the list, not in the zoo itself :D
