Why did PETA even have to do this? I hate them even more because of what they did to Steve Irwin! He did a lot for protecting animals in the wild, unlike PETA.
Not to mention the enormous amounts of memes against PETA on Twitter and Reddit. Seems like lots of people are backing up Steve and getting mad at PETA due to what they (PETA) have done.
Since then it appears that the plot had thickened. PETA seems to be doubling down on their remarks by not only retweeting a handful of statements that agree with what they said about Steve, but also calling out Steve's 15 year old son Robert Irwin for showcasing animals on the Jimmy Fallon Show.
Well, on the bright side, its at least satisfying to see PETA get the criticism they so rightfully deserve.

When one realizes the enormous biasement of average zoochatters to large, cute, "ABC" animals (a tiger, elephant, ape or polar bear dies of old age and tons of zoochatters beg for them, but the last Malay civet of whole Europe dies at Berlin tierpark and nobody tells a word).
When I visited back in September they still have two animals!
