I completely forgot! Also the giant nile crocodile at the ricefields, an the big birds at the entrance of the ocean!

Right now the moats are being done with concrete and such. The indoor enclosures are being themed on the outside (the madagascar island one is getting a mud feel.
And the coati/squirrelmonkey one is getting a building similar to the mangrove houses exterior.
The meerkat enclosure is being worked on with the fake rocks on the outside of their new indoor enclosure.
In general they are mostly working on the pathing around the enclosures now, finishing up the buildings and prepare to start planting which might happen at the end of this month
In the Bush a new enclosure has been made for the Keel-backed terrapins ( Cuora mouhotii ) :
Do you have any idea where in the Bush they are located now?
No no idea but have plans to visit in the near future and will report about it then.
Next to the giraffe stables
On another forum an opening date of April 12th was mentioned.
Three Kea also hatched, after many unduccessful breeding attempts this is the third year in a row with breeding success of these parrots.
Yes, I said that on Laafse kikkers. A zookeeper told it me.
Another parrot-species also bred : 2 Galahs hatched .

During my visit today I was surprised by 5 chicks of burrowing owls, I don't recall Burger's mentioning this birth at all. However there was some device in there (I had a debate with a woman there whether it was a Go-Pro (for possible livestreams?) or some kind of other tech thingy).
The chicks seemed to be in great condition however.
The Manatee calf is absolutely adorable <3
In the large shark tank in the Ocean there are what seems to be tiles stacked at the bottom ( Tiles in the shark tank (Ocean) | ZooChat )
Other news; the 1 white-eared catbird seemed to have moved into the pheasantry. At least there was a sign for it there (aswell as seeing a single individual) whilst during my last visit (two weeks ago) this was not the case.
The construction is going very well! The exhibits are now being planted, of which I believe most of it is done!

As seen on these three photos the exhibits are coming along quite nicely! I'm very excited for the final product.
The Colorado toads seem to be back on display, which where gone for hibernation during the winter period.
In the Bush the scarlet ibis seemingly are still young ones and don't have their iconic well-known red plumage, I asked a guide there about the ibis because I thought for a second that these actually weren't scarlets at all, turns out they are. ( Young scarlet ibis | ZooChat )
And at last but not least, there seems to be a crack in the glass of the milk snake terrarium. No clue when this crack got there, but it's there, and I doubt it will stay there for long.

Last I heard they had five catbirds so probably still four in the Bush then
I don't know the Bush populations numbers, but that could be possible, perhaps this is a individual that might be shipped of to another zoo or perhaps a male to separate him from the females to prevent breeding. There was only 1 in the aviary, so then there should still be 4 in the Bush, I didn't see any however.
