Interesting animals which might be good in zoos and I never knew existed

Ethiopian Wolves are an animal I'd love to see in zoos, it would also make for an interesting Ethiopian area at zoos

I'd love to see these animals as well, and I do hope that at some point a zoo will be able to import a nice group. But I'm not sure how possible/likely this will be.

The Indri (Indri indri), the rare tailless lemur, has seldom been seen in captivity, and often fared very poorly. However, those first attempts were made decades ago; now, with better knowledge and facilities, and the steep degree in their numbers, I do believe that a captive breeding project for indris could have some really good results, if done right.

When I went to Madagascar, I saw a large enclosure that had been made in a rainforest. Some indris had been captured and kept in the enclosure in preparation to be taken to Paris. They didn't survive long. Neither did some indris captured for a lemur park in Madagascar.

Indris are some of the best animals I've ever seen and they have a wonderful call, but I'm wary about capturing indris to take abroad. I hope they wouldn't face the same fate as the Sumatran rhinos captured a few decades ago.
