Nasu animal kingdom

Following the departure of red pandas and manuls from the forest of conservation exhibit, the park hasplaced meerkats and Japanese squirrels to the exhibit.

I forgot to mention that the mother of the kittens Polly arrived from Sweden (location unkown) at around 2015. The father Bor/Bol is from Saitama children's zoo.

Still a very memorable breeding result!
What is the status with manul in Japan? Is there a separate JAZA breeding program for them?

Here is a list of 150 species chosen by JAZA's biodiversity comitee. Manuls don't seem to be on the list. However, there are 6 zoos with 14 animals including 5 babies born at Saitama children's zoo in 2017 (here is a link about them マヌルネコのいる動物園-日本動物園水族館協会(日動水・JAZA)の飼育動物検索から - アリエスコム(ARIEScom.jp)へようこそ). Do manuls have an isb?

The names if the manul kittens has been chosen: the male is named Azu/Az (happiness in Mongolian) and the female is named Eru/Er/Elu/El (based on Erule/Erur, health in Mongolian).

A new wolf enclosure will be built and opened next year at March 20. The tweet specifically says that the wolves are arctic wolves. According to JAZA there are no arctic wolves in any member institutions. I haven’t found the source of the wolves.

A recent article said that the exhibit will have a breeding pair coming from a European zoo in late January.

I forgot to mention that the import if the arctic wolves has been delayed by the exporting country. The rest of the North America exhibit will still open at March 20
