The zoo is announcing the birth of a colobus monkey. Usi was born in April but had to be hand reared and is now reintroduced to the troop. He will be on display with the family come spring.

There is currently a sign at the wolves saying animals off exhibit and shh, quiet zone. My sister said she could see some in a back pen. I read they have 2 new wolves this year as part of ssp recommendations, hopefully some pups were born.
 
Update from my visit yesterday:

  • Al the Tortoise is very sick. Currently he stick inside taking food from a tube. He will eventually be allowed out again when his medication begins working.
 
Last I knew al was having a foot issue (since last year) my sister went this past Sunday and said she heard a keeper giving a tour saying that they do have wolf pups. No official announcement yet.
