This is an attempt to list every species on exhibit at Zoo Tampa in Tampa, Florida during my visit on 8-2-19. I am including species for which there is a sign on each exhibit, and using the named zones on the map going in a roughly clockwise direction from the zoo entrance. This list may be of more interest to those already familiar with the zoo since I am not arranging the species by animal type. I will post each zone separately for clarity.

MANATEE CIRCLE: (10 Exhibits)
The zoo's entrance area is named for a statue of a manatee in a circular plaza inside the front gates; the actual manatee exhibits are not located here, but will appear later.

AFRICA: (21 Exhibits)
This zone is composed of a main path with several short spurs branching from it. Like most of the zoo, the theming is evocative and consistent within the zone without being too heavy.

A note on the 'Expedition Africa' cart ride:
This attraction passes the backside of many of the large yards in the Africa zone. Several yards at the beginning are passed that can only be seen from the ride, and the confusing series of fencing and lack of clarification from the guide means that I am guessing as to the number and residents of the next three (?) exhibits:

The entrance sign to this zone says 'Wallaroo Station Children's Zoo' and it features play areas as well as the zoo's domestics section mixed with its Australasian collection.

How is the quality of their Africa exhibit relative to other modern Africa complexes like Fresno Zoo and Dallas Zoo?

Is the native Florida complex of exhibits a highlight of the zoo?

The Florida exhibit complex is mostly strong, but not especially more impressive than the rest of the zoo. The skunk and sandhill crane exhibit was a highlight for me since there were 4 or 5 active skunks exploring the whole yard. The Africa exhibit complex has fairly extensive obvious fencing rather than moats so it is not as scenic as it could be, which describes quite a bit of the zoo. I have not seen Fresno's, but Dallas' Africa definitely ranks much higher for me.
 
Great write up! FWIW, the Painted Dogs are technically in the 'Itrui Forest' part of the zoo.
The chimp exhibit is now empty as they moved to San Francisco on September 13th of this year. No idea what or when something else will replace them.

The Africa section was done well, but was not built to the cost of the rest of the zoo. The "Ituri Forest" area is probably the best part of Africa, to me anyways. It opened a bit after the rest of the African section. They did a great job keeping the large oaks when possible, which gives that part of the zoo a lot of shade, which is needed in the summer here.
 
@geomorph I'v just seen this great list and wondering is there still Crowned or Bush Duikers in Lowry Park or in any other zoo in US ? They seem very common in Africa, but like the Bushbucks almost unheard in zoos. There is a picture in the Dr. Castello's Bovids of the World of Southern Bush Duiker in Tampa, made by famous ZooChater, but this is not a guarantee, of course.
