Challenge

I started a Zoo in challenge mode with $5k. I used the large temperate forest map that is located in France.
First thing I did was remove all trees, bushes and rocks, earning an extra $7 120. Then added a small restroom, food stands, picnic tables, trash cans, a bouncy ride and donation boxes.
I built very basic, ugly but funtional exhibits to start. Adopted 1.1 Scottish red deer and West european hedgehog. I know that many zoochatters don't like domestic/farm animals in Zoos but I needed to add more animals to the Park and I needed them to be cheap. The solution was to built a pond with some ducks and the black-necked swan.
I didn't hire any Zoo staff (with only $200 left it was inpossible)

Little Park update (1rst anniversary!)

I spent a lot of time playing today. It’s Sunday and I'm having troubles with the wifi service, so it’s a great opportunity to play ZT2.
The zoo reaches its first year with 3,5 starts and 29 animals from 14 species. We also opened a restaurant and a gift shop.

The new species this year:

The mandrill was rescued from a private owner, we are trying to get a male to start a breeding program.

The ducks are an easy way to increase the number of species in the Zoo, which rises the start level and unlock more animals. The plan is to reach the five starts top and then switch the ducks for another species to keep the numbers even.

We where having troubles to keep the little fella happy, so we moved him to a nearby farm.

My zoo will switch from freeform to challenge mode.

I made a few changes to zoo. The Chilean Flamingos are now Greater Flamingos, Humboldt penguins are now African penguins, and I decided to make my zoo L instead of XL.

I have finished my five starter exhibits and have moved on to expand the zoo. I finished two habitats for raccoons and wolverines, and a reptile house. I am now working on the Asian Passage which focuses on the animals that live on the continent of Asia. It is going to include: Lion-Tailed Macaques, Red Pandas, Siberian tigers, snow leopards, Japanese macaques, Asian elephants, and birds from Asia.

I should give an actual update on my zoo.
Our humble zoo is under construction as we are about to unveil Safari Central: From America to Australia, a new $17 million expansion to our humble zoo. We will have animals ranging from elephants to echidnas, rhinos to red pandas, mufflons to monk seals! I can show you a bit of the construction as we had some very beautiful animals joins us in their new exhibits.

Firstly, we would like to announce that our mufflon have successfully given birth to a beautiful baby!

Then we have a collection of photos taken of our animals from in and out of the exhibits.

Two new exhibits have been built
Giant anteater (1.1). The female is already pregnant.


Another exhibit has been built for a pair of Pygmy hippopotamuses (1.1) and a small group of White Pelicans (1.2).



The female ratel is pregnant. The offsprings will be up for export.

Our new Asian complexes, Himalayan Heights and Sands of Syria have finally finished their first enclosures! Himalayan Heights now hosts 1.1.1 Kiang and 1.2 Wild Yak. The young female Kiang and juvenile Mufflon are now up for export.
