Planet Zoo Zoo showcase

The only things I've made so far are my entrance (which has my staff buildings connected to it), my shops/bathrooms/restaurants, Greater Flamingo exhibit, and part of a Japanese Macaque exhibit. My PZ style mostly consists of hours of building, deleting it because I don't think it's good enough, then remaking it.

Got myself 32k in conservation credits, time to hunt for some giraffes and maybe gorillas for my next phase of my zoo. :D

Got 80k conservation credits now, got addicted to getting as much as I can....

I making a greenhouse with inspiration from the "Paradieshalle" at Weltvogelpark Walsrode.
It's not an exact copy, I just got inspired by it and wanted to create something similar.
The free-flight area is overgrown (as in real life) and is housed by peafowls. The "Toowoomba" area that houses lorikeets in real life is in my park housing Ring-tailed lemurs as there are not that many other birds in the game that would fit there.

It is not done yet, but I'm sharing some screenshots :)

(The graphics are really bad in the photos I just realized, it happens sometimes and just have to reload the park and it fixes it but I forgot to do that before taking screenshots)

Had to restart took me a while to start enjoying it again after all my work was lost.

Indian Rhino enclosure, the hard shelters will be changed once I get a Indian Elephant done and build a big building in between the two.

I have a nice small zoo up and running, now to start developing with fancy enclosures. The bottom two where trial habitats for Indian Elephants and Rhinos.

What I am going to do is start building to the north and create an African savannah area, leading into African rain forest. Then come back and re-do this area for Asian animals.20191120194922_1.jpg

I am in the process of building the Casson Pavilion from London Zoo to go along with the Cotton Terraces I built a while ago. I also placed them approximately in the right place for the zoo. Mappins probably next...20191115204942_1.jpg 20191115204953_1.jpg 20191115205113_1.jpg

My current zoo:20191111184813_1.jpgThe large enclosure in the centre is for Indian elephants - complete with an elevated walkway, the smaller Indian exhibit is for Bengal tigers with cliff-style sides and a glass front with a slope down towards it and a pool.

The area with cherry blossom trees is for giant pandas with a smaller side exhibit for red pandas - also with the same cliff effect for a natural barrier. You still have to build a fence around the exhibit as well but I hid it within the cliff face.

The large glass box is my attempt at a tropical house. I called it 'The Biobox' and it houses greater flamingos as you come in along with small exhibits and guest facilities, a lemur walk-through with both species in the middle and 2 exhibits on the far side for Galapagos tortoises and Komodo dragons.

Also hard to see is the okapi exhibit next to the tropical house on the right and tapir exhibit below it. There's also a pangolin exhibit to the right of the tapirs.

Bengal tiger exhibit:

Here's a close-up of the elephant house I designed. Unfortunately, when I tried to save it as a blueprint it crashed and I haven't tried since

View without glass roof: the empty area is now filled with guest facilities and small exhibits. Komodo dragons and Galapagos tortoises on left, lemur walk-through in centre - complete with off show area at back with shelter and flamingos on right.

Started to develop the African area, the hippo enclosure on the right with indoor viewing. The loop will house Warthogs and Aardvarks. Then north of that Giraffe.

Forgetting the ethical issues - I've now got 10 (I think, maybe less) leucistic giraffe. All are gold/silver rated and have been breeding well. I love the challenge of propagating the characteristic, without compromising their genetic quality. For now, a few are staying in my trade centre whilst I develop a new zoo (post update) that won't haemorrhage money; the others are maturing/about to die of old age in a previous zoo.

I've currently got Giraffe of a normal colouration and Black Wildebeest in this new zoo - next up are a herd of Gold Indian Elephant and some lower level Indian Rhino. After that, I'll focus on making the zoo look "pretty", and possibly fill it out with some smaller exhibits.

Not had chance to play for a bit so grabbed an hour or so this morning to start work on my giraffe house.

20191201102527_1.jpg

There will be two habitats for Giraffes, the one to to the left will be for batchelor males, the one with raised viewing will be for breeding herd.

Then round the back is the enclosure for Buffalo, which will move over from the other side of the zoo.

I'm having lots of success with my giraffe - they're my main source of CC - I'm usually able to get 6-10,000 per individual that I sell.
