Deadly tsunami leaves Javan rhinos untouched, but peril persists

shame about the people of course, but at least some good news.
Hopefully this will lend some urgency to establishing a second (and more)
population.

When do you think would be the time, when the population has enough rhinos to translocate some individuals to start a second population in Java?

This issue with translocating rhinos is basically the same conundrum that faces the Sumatran rhino.

In that sense I am deeply cynical about it ever being feasible at least in the bureaucratic considerations of Indonesian officials even if moving the Javan species would be within National territory.
