A female cub was born on August 19th at Yokohama Zoorasia!

Mother: Deru(2006 Chessington, UK)
Father: Guntur(2006 Smithsonian, US)
This is their 3rd litter.
They say the tiger keepers hand-rear the cub.
We have 9 holders and 17 Sumatran tigers in Japan as of Sep 9th 2019.

Kali was born at Toronto Zoo, Canada 2006 with her littermate girl Indah currently living at Ueno, Tokyo.
Kali moved to Higashiyama Zoo, Nagoya in 2010.
She came to Yokohama in 2016. Only three years here.
And she moved away. I will miss her, the beautiful tigress.

The female cub was named "Muju" by fans vote at Yokohama Zoorasia.
Muju is short for "Mujur" meaning lucky in Indonesian.
Naming background: She survived. The tiger keepers hand-rear her.

Misaki Park got closed and the animals are transferred to Wakayama adventure world. Animals that were already planned to be relocated will go to their respective facilities.

The male cub was named "Ao" by fans vote at Yagiyama Zoo, Sendai.
"Ao" means sunlight/dawn in Hawaiian.
Naming Background: His father Keahi was born at Honolulu, USA and named in Hawaiian.
