Milwaukee County Zoo Milwaukee County Zoo News 2020

The old piranha tank in the ARC now contains Amazon Milk Frogs.

Also the flying snakes are gone, replaced with an emerald tree monitor. If I recall, Milwaukee was the only zoo in North America that had this species on display. Does anyone know what happened to them?

Brookfield also has them.

I believe the flying snakes moved to Brookfield. Toledo also has them, making Brookfield and Toledo currently the only North American zoos to keep the species.

Being stuck at home the past few days has got me looking into more about upcoming plans with the zoo. Haven’t been to the zoo since the summer and just really anxious to learn more about upcoming plans. Excited for all the changes!!!!
I was there a week before they closed and they had all of the Cinereous Vultures out on display. I didn’t realized we had 6 of them. Can’t wait to see what is coming this summer.

Interesting!!! Also looking forward to all the changes. I am so excited for Adventure Africa to be complete and then I’m mostly looking forward to Alaska cold coast and wild woods... but everything has me excited

Those are still over 3 to 5 years away at the very least. It could be pushed back even further with everything that’s going on currently. Hopefully it’s not pushed back too far, that it is dropped completely.

Exactly!!! I think just with everything getting pushed back, it makes me more interested with the situation and eager to see the changes.

The zoo just acquired 3 new female lions. The zoos instagram said we could watch them on the web cam and they have been exploring the new exhibit. Only see two of them though!
I read somewhere that the third lioness was camera shy and is the mother to the other two. Anyone know where they came from?

Hello, somebody knows what are the names of the california sea lions at Milwaukee Zoo and their parents?
