The park's website has released news about births that have taken place at Hamerton since the start of 2020:
- Blue spiny lizards have been hatched to the newly-arrived group, with the young now in an off-show rearing area.
- Eggs from both the electric blue geckos and Ruppell's griffon vultures are being incubated.
- A new baby red-bellied tamarin has been born, bringing the number of individuals in the park to fifteen. Two pairs will be moving to the Czech Republic by the end of the month.
- A new tayra has also been born. A pair of tayra will soon be moving from Hamerton to Denmark.
- In terms of the marsupials, there are now joeys of several parma wallabies as well as common brushtail possums and rufous bettongs; there is also a new joey of the Tasmanian golden possum (the young born last year to these animals was male).
