A new nature documentary series called 'Primates' starts on Sunday 26th April, at 8.15 pm, on BBC 1.

There are 3 episodes in total.

Same here. I've recently felt a bit disappointed with many of the big budget BBC documentary series (as incredible and beautifully filmed as they are) for covering the same old well trodden ground.

Great apes and many of the more well covered / photogenic species of monkey and lemurs (as interesting as they are ) have kind of had their limelight.

I'm hoping to see a far greater focus on the more obscure and lesser known primates in this new series. Afterall it could work wonders for their conservation if more media and public attention was raised as a result.
