Point Blanc Safari Park
This is a massive drive-through safari park in northern France. The drive-through area is separated into five zones:
1. Grand Teton
This zone is based on Grand Teton National Park in the United States. There are two large lush exhibits, each featuring climbing rock formations and water features. The first is home to black bears. The second is a community exhibit with herds of moose, mule deer, American bison, pronghorns, and bighorn sheep.
2. Australia
This zone is divided into three sections. One section has a large mod of red kangaroos and a family of emus. Another section has a group of swamp wallabies by a lake. Vehicles go over a bridge over a water feature (the wallabies' and the water belonging to the next animal). Under the bridge is a wall separating the wallabies from the next animal: saltwater crocodiles, which guests can drive by and see them sunning themselves on land, separated from the other animals by a fence of course..
3. Chobe
This exhibit is based on Chobe National Park in Botswana. It starts out at a community exhibit featuring greater kudu, zebras, red lechwe, warthog, sitatunga, roan antelopes, impalas, and cape buffalo. The next section features a family of common hippos. The aforementioned hoofstock except buffalo have access to the hippo area, but the hippos cannot access the hoofstock area due to posts placed wide enough for the smaller hoofed animals to pass through but not the hippos. The last exhibit is home to a pride of African lions.
4. La Argentina
This zone is divided into two sections. One is based on the Gran Chaco habitat and is home to Chacoan peccaries and Darwin's rheas. The second section is based on the Pampas habitat and is home to guanacos, giant anteaters, Patagonian cavies, and lowland tapirs. There is also an exhibit for maned wolves.
5. Chitwan Trek
This zone is based on Chitwan National Park in Nepal. It starts with a community exhibit with Indian rhinos, gaurs, hog deer, chital deer, and wild boars. The next exhibit is home to a pair of striped hyenas. The last exhibit is home to a pair of Bengal tigers.
Between Chobe and La Argentina is the walk-through village where guests can park their cars and see other animals. There is a tall observation tower where guests can look out upon the scenery. The lions of Chobe can be seen from here. There is also a pond for Chilean flamingos. On one side of the flamingo exhibit is a lush habitat for a breeding pair of southern pudus. On the other side is an island exhibit for. There is an Australia House where short-beaked echidnas, koalas, a walkthrough parakeet aviary, a winter home for saltwater crocodiles, and exhibits for venomous snakes can be found. There is also a separate exhibit for ocelots.
