New zoo!
This zoo's first director was a rebel in 1848.
After World War II the zoo had only 15 animals: 5 hippos, 1 elephant, 1 camel, 1 llama, 1 zebra, 1 taira, 3 monkeys, 2 birds.
The most emblematic animals are elephant, hippo and Golden-bellied mangabey in this zoo.

So I guess it is my turn. Probably too easy, but: This zoo recently welcomed 14 Pere David's deer fawns.
