Today, in honor of Mothers Day, the zoo announced that Jabali, a 16-year-old Western Lowland Gorilla, is pregnant. No word on the due date. The father is Husani. To my knowledge, this is the Zoos first Gorilla birth in its history.

I cannot call out ugly though (thinking of a famous movie on that line), but the current Corona is a sure Catch22 situation with drama and bad news all around.

Somebody know anything about Dmitri the Amur Leopard? Is he still at Utah's Hogle Zoo? I can't find anything about him, the newer information I found about him at Utah's Hogle Zoo were articles from 2016-18.
As far as I know, DMitri still resides at Utah's Hogle Zoo. I know he is the father of the new cubs, as stated in the description of the Youtube video below. I can't see DMitri leaving anytime soon.

They've had 3:
- February 17, 2017 - 2.0: Roman and Rafferty. They have since relocated to the Syracuse and Pittsburgh Zoos respectively.
- May 9, 2018 - 0.1: Jilin. She has since moved to the Central Florida Zoo.
- March 19, 2020 - 1.1: Unnamed.

According to Facebook, a baby Titi monkey was born a few days ago. Gender is still unknown. I assume the parents are Jack and Trinidad.

Nora the other female polar bear will be leaving as well, but not until the end of February.
So no female Polar Bears at Hogle? I thought for sure they brought Nikita in for breeding.
He is related to both Hope and Nora, I believe. So they might move another female to Hogle to breed with Nikita.
A male Hartmann's Mountain Zebra was born on January 15 to Ziva and Scooby. This is Scooby's first foal since arriving at the Zoo in October of 2019 from Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Zoo is asking for the publics' help with finding the foal a name.

Apparently, a bigger shipment of 1.2 Hartmann's occurred in the other direction.
They now should have 1.3+ new foal.
