The 62 billion HUF for Pannonia Park ran out, and the capital led by Gergely Karácsony and the FIDESZ government either does not want to give more money to the project. I think we can be happy if the biodome will complete by 2023.
Can you elaborate how far along the building program has come now and what as yet needs to be fixed till opening?
Even though the project has received significant funding from state coffers, I am loathe to believe if that investment was in effect enough. Mismanagement of financing and handling the project in the first place aside, I wondere what contributed to the overspend ..., if at all any?
Personally, I find that letting an unfinished building to rot for 3+ years does not seem like sound financial management, is in effect a waste of the capital investment in the first place and opens up the political-bureaucracy scene to justified criticism themselves. Well, let us not go too far into the political scene here and/or the role of FIDESZ the party in Hungary.

.@HungarianBison: Looking at the (english) zoo map, it seems that parts of the zoo - children zoo and shark aquarium - are closed. Is this correct (and if so: why)?
@zoomaniac yes, these parts of the zoo are indeed closed, because of covid. I don't know more information in this case.
