Re-opening of UK Zoos - dates, timings & bookings

@pipaluk from memory I think you select a a day from the Callander and you then see the free member/fellow option listed at £0.
I think the fist screen pre selecting the day simply shows the chargeable options.
Thanks, but there is no box to order free passes now, I will have to pay £50 for 2 adults if I want to go!
It's now stuck, probably about to crash AGAIN!

Sorry to hear that it seem to be Ok about half an hour ago when I went on (that was for London Zoo rather than Whipsnade .

As posted on the Chester thread, if you haven't already, try another browser. If websites work for one user and not another that's generally the problem..!

I got to the front of the queue and directed to buy tickets! Nothing about free passes for members & Fellows!

Got to admit I got there and decided not to go through, although both next Monday and Tuesday were still available, which are supposed ti be Fellows/Members only days
I'm going to wait for some feedback from people who have managed to get in, seems it might not be that busy if the carry on like this

Yorkshire Wildlife Park will open for annual pass holders only on Monday, then for all from Tuesday. As is usual, it'll be takeaway food only, and the giraffe house and walk-through animal enclosures (lemurs, wallabies, South America Viva) will be closed, although the animals will be visible from outside the enclosures' perimeter fencing. The gift shop will be open although numbers will be limited.

Also note that when pre-booking you have to select a time slot within 1 hour of when you intend to arrive.

Seems to be a few glitches and oversights across the board, which is to be expected. I did notice that the YWP page does say that memberships that expired during close down can be extended though.

@Andrew Swales Have Hamerton sent out the emails to annual ticket holders with their entry codes?

Yes they have been, I just checked with Kim who is doing all the DigiTicket stuff... When I saw her this morning we were about 2/3 booked for Monday and about half for Tuesday and Wednesday. Booking system seems to be ok, but I am busy on site and dont have the direct contact as we are now split into admin/shop team and animal team. If the season-ticket code email failed to reach you, please email the main office address immediately and I'll make sure it is dealt with. Mention this reply please.

Sorry just seen on their Facebook that its not, which is a bit surprising when they're opening so soon! One to keep an eye on if anyone fancies a visit.

Especially since “Experience Ethiopia” is mentioned in the FAQ’s and the Gelada and hyaena are showing on the map.

Colchester now open for booking for visits from 18th-27th June - paid-for tickets can be booked up to 14 days in advance, passholder reservations three days in advance (a daily quota is reserved for them).

Honeybourne zoo - All things wild

We will be open exclusively for members Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th, and we will open to all guests on Saturday 20th onwards.

You MUST pre-book tickets from web page

I’ve just purchased tickets for Saturday at Wild Place Project. They open on Friday. Tickets were being booked so rapidly it was hard to keep up whilst filling the booking form in. Overall though, a professional service.

Now that its been officially announced, I can tell you about something really cool with Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park’s reopening.

Like with most zoos, keeper talks just aren’t possible because we can’t have large gatherings of visitors in any one area. So we’ve come up with a fun and innovative way around this. At certain enclosures, you’ll be able to scan a QR code on your phones which will take you to a little video of Jimmy and one of the rangers talking about the animals you’re looking at, giving you all the info. Fun, eh? :)
