Hello from California!

Are you aware of an insect zoo that was set up somewhere in the Fresno region of the valley? I read that it existed, but am not sure where it is (was?). Are you by chance involved with that project? I am enjoying your tarantula photos.

Never heard of that, but I did some quick googling just now and what I've pieced together is that a place called Insect Lore opened in Bakersfield a while back and had a small insect museum there. The company mainly sells educational supplies, butterfly kits and the like, and the museum portion closed in ~2015 and is now just a retail location. Looks like I missed out!

Since you're a fan, I just dug around and found two of my better pictures. My sassy T. vagans gal just hanging around, and my C. cyanopubescens spiderling eating what's left of a mealworm. The latter molted last week and is officially a female as well, which was great news (longer lifespans :D).
