There are photos on ZooChat and news segments of the new Dhole exhibit if you'd like to see for yourself. So, is the new dhole exhibit good?
A good TV producer can make almost anything look good, but, from the episode, the three brother dholes are really beautiful animals in a beautiful exhibit.Saturday's episode of The Zoo featured the journey of the 3 new dholes from San Diego, as well as a great look at the renovations to Tundra's old exhibit in preparation for them. One of my favorite segments/episodes of the new season so far!
The Bronx Zoo has announced reopening of their outdoor areas but I am not sure of the date.
Yeah I have only heard it from people so I am unsure.
If you though it was a longshot, why post it? Especially if you have no actual proof that the zoo is opening, which it seems like you don't. This is a news thread after allI thought it was a longshot too.
If they do reopen,it would be too bad because all of the zoo's best exhibits are indoors and the zoo would likely open the outdoor areas. The zoo has started hiring part-time/summer workers this past week to reopen. I would imagine late this month is likely. This includes dining, gift shops, and monorail drivers.

Much rather have that too.I'd rather the zoo be open to some capacity and be able to make money....

African Plains, Baboon Reserve, the Wild Asia Monorail (with social distancing...?), Tiger Mountain, Himalayan Highlands, the new dhole exhibit, the grizzly bear exhibit, the Northern Ponds and Astor Court (to name a few) all beg to differ. If they do reopen,it would be too bad because all of the zoo's best exhibits are indoors and the zoo would likely open the outdoor areas.

They could do so if the Governor enacted a phase in which social distancing/mask usage was enacted indoors and as such, the buildings (e.g. Congo, JungleWorld, Madagascar, World of Birds, World of Reptiles, the Mouse House, etc.) operated at 25-35% capacity. (That being said the lines would literally and metaphorically be through the roof depending on any particular exhibit's popularity.)Not to mention Congo Gorilla Forest!
I do hope they allow the monorail to run with some sort of distancing rules.
It'd be nice if they allowed people in the houses with limited capacity but that's probably wishful thinking.
