Roo Valley Walkthrough
Hey am going Sunday if your going let me knowOn the 18th
This looks incredible...I have to admit. I’m REALLY impressed with the Little Blue Penguin exhibit. It’s absolutely stellar in my opinion. The kangaroo exhibit is pretty good. However considering other Australian exhibits I’ve seen i have the San Diego Zoo Safari Park still for me has the best Australia themed Exhibit. I don’t think I need to explain why on that one (they have platypus for one thing). But overall I think roo valley is a great addition to the zoo.
The seven year master plan is estimated at $150,000,000, Roo Valley is phase one. This looks incredible...
I did a bit of Googling - did it really cost $150,000,000 ...?
Cool I like meet new people. I be aroundThe new exhibit area looks really nice. I'll have to take another trip to Cincinnati once their elephant expansion is done as well.

Thank you John. Still incredible, but at an incredible cost.that’s the cost of the master plan. The exhibit costed $13 million
Thank you John. Still incredible, but at an incredible cost.
We've been here before, but everything seems bigger in the US..!![]()
Strong words there! How many zoos outside US/Canada have you visited to come up with the observation in your first line?ya haha. I think the US out of all the continents have the best zoos personally. Personally Cincinnati zoo is not my favorite zoo in the world. A lot of zoochatters like it but I can’t say It’s the best zoo in the US. However Cincinnati zoo has a really good mountain lion exhibit, A really painted dog exhibit and excellent breeding program for painted dogs. Roo valley has become a nice Addition to the zoo. However it’s not the most impressive zoo I’ve seen. Still none the less I haven’t seen it in person
I liked their new Roo Valley, nicely done by their gardening department. I think it must be rather work intensive to keep it in good shape in future. And I don´t mind the cost, Americans are rich and can afford it.
What I found interesting is their plans for elephant area, that simple skica didn´t look like 5 acres. Could anybody link me to their plans?
I was just there and roo valley is greathttps://cdn2.cincinnatimagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2019/08/SEP19_Jackson-map.jpg
The complex as a whole, from the restaurants, to the splash park, to the back of the enclosures to the one next to Manatee Springs is/will be seven acres. The space for the elephants indoors and out will be about four.

Good to hear - but, it really should be for $13,000,000 !I was just there and roo valley is great
Based on a 3D model it will indeed be under the main viewing area (you can see the door)Thanks a lot. But I haven´t found elephant house on that plan. Will it be submerged? I would expect it where it says "Garden overlook". And, do you know what animals will live on that island south of Manatees?
