Noah's Ark Zoo Farm Noah's Ark Zoo Farm 2020

Most attendance figures get published in the International Zoo Yearbook, the latest overview was published last month. For Noah's Ark the figure was 180.000 in 2018, compared to 562.192 for Bristol Zoo and 200.000+ for The Wild Place (the latter figure is from 2017 and comes from their own website, they are not listed in the IZY).
Numbers from the Charity Commission 2018 AR are BZG 478,126 (523,166 - 2017) with 300,272 paid attendance and WPP 192,306 (190,515 - 2017) with 112,071 paid attendance. The latter - paid attendance figures - I would say seem correct an reliable.

Correct and reliable certainly, but it still depends on how zoos count returns on season tickets and memberships. There is wide variation which, as I said, makes comparisons somewhat tenuous - unless the same counting system is adopted (or enforced), universally.

Sorry for the duplicated replies, but I just looked at those again... it reads as though only 63% of people visiting Bristol Zoo pay to enter, ie 37% are admitted free. I wonder if this is normal for larger UK zoos...?

In my limited experience, Bristol attracts a lot of parents with small children in push chairs and if they are under 2 they are admitted free. They also admit carers without charge (one of the areas where different zoos have different policies) and, of course as a member at Chester, I am entitled to a free visit per year too (several other zoo's members have the same reciprocal arrangement).

Thank you very much - yes, I guess if you count every toddler and infant, and every visit by concessions, and also all visits by your own and reciprocal season holders, it would bump up numbers massively. Other zoos just count paying visits, and there must be great variation in between.

0:1 zebra has been born recently to mum Polly and due to this uncertain time we're in she has been called Hope.
A little ray of sunshine in this horrible situation.

The zoo have announced the birth of a male Bactrian Camel calf named Khoomii, the first born at the zoo for over a decade.

Mum is Hettie and dad is Icarus

RIP Khan the last of the Martin Lacey Great British Circus Tiger's. The only positive that will happen due to Khan's passing, will be the fact that Noah's Ark Zoo Farm can now disassociate themselves from the controversy of breeding Bengal Tiger's for a circus!

It will be interesting to see if the side previously used by the tigers will now be used for the two lion "cub" boys, or if the zoo will bring in some new big cats...

I visited today, they were well organised and there was plenty of space to distance from other people.
The only changes seem to be the appearance of Emma's Conure Pyrrhura emma (labelled Pyrrhura emma griseipectus) and Grey-Breasted Conure Pyrrhura griseipectus in the smaller of the parrot aviaries, the one that formally housed Amazon parrots.
Also the agoutis were unsigned and unseen by me.

Here`s how it works..when something wonderful happens its the work of God,when its something no-one understands ,then that`s God too because he moves in mysterious ways and when something awful happens...then thats God`s will by way of punishment for something mankind has done.He cant lose(sorry if you think God might be a she,but thats the way the bible writers thought way back then).

Announced in the last half hour that Genevieve the female giraffe has passed away suddenly yesterday. Am I correct in thinking she was a purebred Reticulated?
