Captive Breeding of Lammergier (Bearded Vulture)

I found the zoo inventory of Lammergier's kept in European zoos, which was wonderful, but I could not find any info on captive breeding success for any of these zoos which hold the species.

Any info on captive breeding success in zoos would be appreciated.

Thanks

Here the list from Bearded vultures from Zootierlist. When you click on the ( red-coloured ) zoo-names you find some information ( Zucht means bred ).
Esp. Innsbrück has been succesfully in breeding the species and also a special Bearded vulture breeding station in ( if I'm right ) Austria.
A lot of the young bred in captivity have been used to re-introduce the species back into the Alpes succesfully!
In the Netherlands the now closed Wassenaar Zoo was quite succesfull in breeding Bearded vultures. After the park closed the owner ( mr. Louman ) had a breeding-station which was well known for it's Cheeta-breeding but also at least one breeding-pair of Bearded vultures was kept there.
Further there are several web-pages about the re-introduction-projects and here also some information about the captive-breeding-projects can be found.
Hope this helps you.

Thank you. I am familiar with some of the re-introduction programs. I think Spain has a fairly active program.

This is something I hope to pursue further in the future, so now I'm basically doing the research.

I think there are several captive breeding facilities (not to be classified as "zoos" though) in Northern Spain (Asturias and Cantabria) which have had some level of success with breeding and reintroducing this species to the wild.

There is a specialised vulture breeding center in Vallcalent (Catalunya) and one in Guadalentin (Andalucia). Which locations in Asturias and Cantabria are you referring to?

When I was in Asturias last year I heard a lot about a centre in Asturias (another one was mentioned in Cantabria) working with the "quebrantahuesos" and that this bird had been reintroduced in the Picos de Europa National Park so I assumed that it was this place.

But after checking the webpage it seems that it is more of a visitor education centre so I could be wrong about that. o_O
