A good article about the under-construction Jakarta Aquarium and direction of its parent company, Taman Safari Indonesia. The aquarium will occupy 7,000 square metres in the basement of a mall in Podomoro City. It will be the second aquarium in Jakarta, a city with 10 million residents and 30 million annual domestic tourists.

Jakarta Aquarium Podomoro City - blooloop

Note: although the article says SeaWorld Indonesia shut down, it reopened in 2015.

On their social media accounts, Jakarta Aquarium announced that they changed their name into "Jakarta Aquarium and Urban Safari", due to them also keeping land animals, like meerkats and binturongs.

SeaWorld keep Diana since 2002 and Doel since 2011. They also keep a third smaller dugong since 2018. Doel and Diana is no longer in SeaWorld since 2016, while the third dugong is released into the wild in 2019.

So if they released the last dugong, does this mean they have no future plans to keep this species again?

The exhibit currently houses a couple of hawksbill sea turtle, giant trevally, yellowfin surgeonfish, oranged-spotted spinefoot, flapnose ray, and reticulate whipray.

Is this the largest tank in the aquarium, or is there a larger one with sharks or something?

What’s in there? And by “aquarium” you mean “fish tank” and not “the entire building,” I presume?
Yes, what I meant is the fish tank.

The aquarium houses caesio cuning, yellowfin surgeonfish, trachinotus blochii, snapper (Mangrove red and emperor red), trevally (Giant, bigeye, and golden), grouper (Potato, brown-marbled, and giant), ray (spotted eagle, jenkin's, reticulate, cowtail, and round ribbontail), and shark (Blacktip reef and tawny nurse). This is the species that I've know so far, there could be more that I didn't put here.
