I've only ever seen Ring Tailed Lemurs so they win in the category of the lemurs I've seen.
Overall though I'd say my favourites are Goodmans Mouse Lemur and Blue Eyed Black Lemur.
Either Blue Eyed Black or Coquerel's Sifaka

Seems like blue eyed black lemurs are quite popular.
Personally I find them a very beautiful looking species, their eyes are absolutely striking.
Indri, an animal of such mystical beauty and alarm vocalization... As well as the aye-aye, with its intriguing convergent evolution adaptation contributing more than its beauty to say the least.

Both species that I also find fascinating and for much of the same reasons as you've described (though I do think that the aye-aye has a very eerie gothic beauty).
I've seen the aye aye in captivity but I would really love to see the Indri in the wild one day.

Personally, I’d have to go with a tie between Red and White and Black Ruffed Lemurs.
Indri, such a magnificent and haunting call to hear in the forest ( or while eating breakfast before going out to look for them!). Most under-rated- Ring-tailed Lemurs, so well adapted for living in open habitats, but so familiar from zoos that their appearance and habits are taken for granted.

Both of these species are incredible (and incredibly loud too ! ).
Enchanting species and so curious the way it moves and with such agility too !
Did you see these in captivity or the wild ?
Oh I can only imagine how haunting (particularly given how it stands on the threshold of extinction) it must be to hear the call of the Indri at breakfast time ! I hope I can one day experience this too.

I think you are absolutely right about the Ring-tailed lemur being quite an underrated animal. I have to admit that I'm guilty of taking them for granted too because of how ubiquitous they are in zoos. I really shouldn't do this though as despite how common they may be in captivity they are under some truly enormous pressures in the wild.

Indri, several sightings in the same area, maximum of three or four at once, probably 7 or 8 in total over a couple of days. Not difficult in the key area (a couple of hours from Antananarivo).

That is incredible ! I imagine you must have also seen quite a few other lemur species during your time in Madagascar , did you see any aye-aye ?

He's real, and loves sitting in these odd positions
Sifaka, Crowned Lemur, Sportive Lemur, couple of species of Mouse Lemur, but not in the right area for Aye-aye ( which I have seen in captivity) . Would have to look up the exact species seen. Great 2 week trip, organised independently and written up by Adam Bowley on Bird forum as “A mad month in Madagascar”.

Sounds like the trip of a lifetime ! Do you think you will make another trip back over in the future to explore more of the island and see more of its fauna ?
I would love to see both sifaka and crowned lemurs (my favourite lemur species) in the wild.

I bet it is very challenging to be scientifically objective / removed with that little guy striking the most anthromorphic poses When Covid restrictions lift, I plan to continue my quest to see all the remaining 28 bird families I have yet to see in the wild. These require trips to Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Sulawesi, Malaysia, South Africa, Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Arizona and Brazil (for Trumpeters and Seriemas). If I still have any money left, and am still fit enough to travel, yes, I would like to visit the north of the island for Aye-aye, Fossa, Ruffed Lemur, Helmet Vanga, tiny chameleons...,,
