5 Must See Species Before You Die

1. Javan Rhino
2. Sumatran Rhino
3. Duck Billed Playtpus
4. Any Pangolin
5. Mountain Anoa

This is just 5 off a great list. Kouprey, Saola, Blue Whale and many more could be added.
I've been lucky to be able to work with and see a great range of species, but still many more to go yet

Reptiles :

1. Tuatara.

2. Orinoco crocodile.

3. Gharial.

4. Ricord's iguana.

5. Malagasy big headed turtle (literally learned of the existence of this species the other day).

Probably a few more besides too, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Here is my list (though there’s probably more than 5 :p):

Blue Whale
Sumatran Rhino
Mountain Gorilla
Whale Shark
Manatee (any of the four species)

I was very lucky to see the kiwi in its outside enclosure in my home zoo, Zlin, during the morning guided tour in August. About 4 times during the summer, the offical opening takes place in 6. a.m mainly necause of the possibility to see the male Gery outside of his box. Kiwi was also a higlight during my first visit in Frankfurt Zoo in 2007. Another zoos I have seen kiwi, are Weltvogelpark Walsrode and Zoo Berlin. I am realy astonished with this bird species;)

You have seen quite a lot of these little birds ! Very lucky!

I find them absolutely fascinating.

Mediteranean monk seal

I got to see one as a kid. It was one that was famous for being rescued and hand raised, and was later abused in order to "rehabilitate" her by making her fear humans (this didn't work which is why she approached the boat we were cruising on). Because sadly the country she was found is zoologically backwards and lacks much experience with marine mammal rescues and husbandry.
