There are two zoo in Indonesia that keep the snow leopard (Panthera uncia), Taman Safari Bogor and Batu Secret Zoo. Taman Safari put a couple named Omar and Sayan on display since 2012 until 2019. Batu Secret Zoo put a male named Sam Leo on display since 2016 until 2018.

Taman Safari's snow leopards came from Tierpark Berlin. Omar is displayed in the Big Cat Center, while Sayan is keep off display. The male Omar born on June 1st 1999, while the female Sayan born on May 25th 1996. They either died or keep off display at late 2019. The exhibit is empty for several months until it was reused as a cougar (Puma concolor) exhibit in 2020.

Batu Secret Zoo only keep a single male named Sam Leo. Sam Leo is much younger than Omar and Sayan, he's four years old during his first arrival to the zoo on Mei 22th 2016. If he's still alive, he would be 8 years old now. Sam Leo's exhibit is now reused as a exhibit for the Sunda clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi).

Last time I saw Omar and Sayan was back in 2018. They were pretty healthy, but Omar looks kinda lethargic.

Both Taman Safari Bogor and Batu Secret Zoo also keep this species. Taman Safari's jaguars also came from Tierpark Berlin, while Batu Secret Zoo's jaguar came from Mexico. Both zoo still keep this species and also bred them in the past.

Hot climate? Puncak and Batu has adequate climates for Snow leopards since they can tolerate subtropical areas. Just because it's called a Snow leopard doesn't mean it can't live in a snowless place. They can live in steppes and deserts though, especially in Mongolia and Afghanistan.

Its just my view but look at the thick fur on them appears made for high mountain living!

I presume both snow leopards at TSI given their ages may have passed away recently.
Am I correct in believing both snow leopard in Batu are males?

By the time I went there, Omar is already showing signs of lethargy. Sayan is still kinda healthy and she still walks around the exhibit. Sometimes she scratches her head on the temple wall.

That would mean Omar is 20 and Sayan now be 24 (that is well over geriatric for a larger felid)!
 
Veterinarian from Baru Zoo said that male Orlando (she doesn't know why someone used name Sam Leo for marketing purpose) died because of kidneys issues in 2019.
This male was castrated and not useful for breeding in Europe. He was send to Batu for display and to allow to Batu Zoo vets and keepers get some experience before receiving breeding pair.
There is new exhibit specially build for Snow Leopard needs and approved by EAZA.
Outside exhibit looks like mountain slope with several caves, rocks, stream, logs. Zoo said it has nearly 600 square meters of available for animals space which is more than European standards.
Inside exhibit looks similar. It is equipped with air conditioning machine, air drying machine.
Leopards will have free choice where they want to stay.
As for climate. Batu is famous for its low temperatures. I live temporarily close to zoo and yesterday night temperatures was 14 degrees Celsius. Climate is similar to German one (my personal comparison).
I think there is no reason to worry about climate issues. Climate in Indonesia depends from region to region and from altitude.
Many people wrongly thinks that is tropical hot every where.
 
Does Batu still have the pair from Czechia? I've never heard of them again so I feared that they had been phased out.
