I think you will just vote Cotswold because you THINK everything somehow looks better! Some things are better and it has some good large aviaries, but its penguin exhibit really isn't that good and many of the aviaries are basic.
Anyway, that is only birds, it is beaten comfortably on Tropical Forests

Today at least the main reason I'm voting for Cotswold is a combination of the ex-situ work they do with the greater bamboo lemur / support they give to the in-situ conservation of said species and the general aesthetics of the place.

Another reason would be because I find the direction of ZSL in terms of the zoo and the aesthetics of London rather uninspired.

Having said that I have been to London zoo several times and enjoyed watching the smaller tropical mammals like the narrow striped mongoose, pottos, slender loris, giant jumping rat, tamarins and Goeldi's monkeys. I don't have anything against London, I just find the direction and look of the place uninspiring.

So what about Whipsnade, you seem to be ignoring that! It has no bad enclosures in either category and several species to boost ZSL total including the Warty Pig you thought were worth something at Jersey?!If they were worth Jersey getting 2 points on hoofstock, I reckon this is an easy 4-1 ZSL surely?

I believe that Cotswold have warty pigs too don't they ? or at least they did once apparently judging by the gallery.

OK, you will vote for Cotswold because you like it, I understand that, just like you voted always in favour (or more in favour than most) for other zoos like Bristol and Jersey. For what it's worth, I like Cotswold and have a fair amount of 'beef' regarding ZSL, but think they win comfortably overall in these categories

Yes, I guess today it is just a purely subjective vote from me , not keen on London's current direction or lack of or its past directions (though I like the smaller taxa).

Having said that the only one of those zoos that you mention that I've actually been too is Bristol.
 
Any last minute votes or arguments either way? :)
 
I think the current score is roughly right. As I said previously, overall ZSL deserves the win for its vastly superior tropical forest mammals. Cotswold have some good aviaries and tropical house and lemur exhibit , but these are not that much better than what ZSL offers in that area to make up for the other deficiencies for me, but enough to limit ZSL to only a 3-2 win probably
