Popped to whipsnade today, sealions still very much there. Not alot else going on , penguins closed as they are building netting over them. Few animals have swapped around enclosures randomly (sure there is a reason). Also looks like the wild boar young have moved on as mum was alone.

I suspect so due to the new regulations from DEFRA.

I believe it’s so they can include flying birds in the exhibit. Also it’s stops local gulls freeloading on the fish.

@Rosie183 that's a strange choice of name as a Giraffe called Margaret resides at ZSL's other more famous Zoo in Regents Park London.

According to the most recent ZSL Animal Inventory there were 3.2 lions at Whipsnade as at 1st January 2020 although, of course, that inventory is now almost a year old.

Saw 3 last week however they did have access to an indoor area and it was a cold and wet day.

ZSL Fellows were sent a copy of the 2020 list; I am surprised to learn that the ZSL website hasn't been updated with the latest version.

Today on animal park, they said their male ostrich who thinks he is a zebra is moving to whipsnade, where do you think he will be housed? Wonder if a female will be sent along too ....
