Exmoor Zoo Exmoor Zoo 2020

I'll be visiting the zoo later in the week - does anyone have any requests for photos of exhibits, or updates on particular animals?

Had a fantastic trip to Exmoor Zoo with my girlfriend yesterday - we were lucky enough to take part in the "walk on the wild side" experience that they offer. Here's a short summary:
  • This experience is all fun and games - feeding and interaction, so no cleaning!
  • It involved a 3 hour tour of the majority of the collection, whilst meeting some of the more friendly animals held - Alex, the experiences keeper, was great and super informed about the collection.
  • We met the Singing dogs (our favourite), Tapir, RTL, Cheetah, Meerkats and the Giant Hairy Armadillo (I'll post some photos to the Exmoor gallery this afternoon).
  • For £135 (two people), the experience is more than worth it.
Otherwise, the collection is still going strong with some smaller scale developments taking place:
  • Some building work opposite the former otter exhibit, now home to bush dogs. (again, I'll post some photos to the gallery this afternoon). Those of you with the guidebook will know what this is for.
  • The zoo should have some announcements coming soon - so keep your eyes on the Facebook page.
  • Zoysa seems to be coping well after the sad loss of Ebony - being a solitary species, I'm not surprised.
Exmoor Zoo - ZooChat - all relevant photos have now been posted :)

I can't wait to visit again in the summer, but for now... a 10/10 trip (as always).
