Are there any walleye or zander in public aquariums or the aquarium fish trade anywhere?
They're around, though I can't name anywhere specific off the top of my head.

Off the top of my head Shedd and Henry Vilas both have Walleye. I think Milwaukee, Reiman Aquarium, Minnesota Zoo and Sea Life, and NMRMAA should have it as well, though I'm not 100% sure on those.Would Shedd Aquarium have them? In general I find US aquariums' collections of local and endemic freshwater fish somewhat lacking.
Both Minnesota & Great Lakes both have walleye last time I visited, also Great Lakes has a few ocean displays and some land animals as well.Off the top of my head Shedd and Henry Vilas both have Walleye. @RatioTile Shedd has a great collection of native freshwater species from the Great Lakes region. I haven't visited Tennessee Aquarium but I hear their collection of native freshwater species is amazing. I think Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth is all native species.
Great lakes has a very nice freshwater fish collection. Yes, Walleye is at the Minnesota zoo In that really cool Freshwater fish tank in Minnesota trails. Both Minnesota & Great Lakes both have walleye last time I visited, also Great Lakes has a few ocean displays and some land animals as well.
