Rutland Zoo Zoo to reopen at Rutland Water

Mmmm.. our local authority offers no help whatsoever in tiers 1, 2 or 3; nothing we have heard or been told of in tier 4; and only a token £2000 per month to businesses in the £15k to £50k rate band in full lockdown.
This is a national government funded scheme. Do you mean they just don't offer it to zoos or to any business at all ? The tier 4 scheme won't be on the website yet but the tier 2 should have been I'm sure

Our local authority publicised the leisure business grants of £25,000 and £2000 for businesses rated between15 and 50 during the lockdowns, very widely to all leisure businesses. We had repeated communications from them in the form of reminders and encouragement and warnings of deadlines. Nothing whatsoever had been received about this 'local restriction grant' covering the tiers rather than lockdowns either directly, via trade bodies, book-keepers or accountants; all of whom were well advised of the two lockdown grants.
Now we do know, we will look into this next week...

Twelve baby yellow anacondas were born today at Rutland Zoo. Once they have grown a little and are feeding well, they will be moved on to other zoos.

Information comes from the Rutland Zoo Facebook page.
