These are fascinating birds indeed, never seen one in the flesh yet but would like to.
What is it that is so cool about this species to you ?
One thing that I find fascinating about them is that they have the loudest call of any bird ever documented. I listened to a few clips of it on YouTube, and it sounds really weird, but awesome. I recommend you listen to it, but make sure your volume is pretty low, or your ears will be blasted by the super loud sound like it happened to me a couple times

Yes, that ability of these birds is really incredible !
I would really love to see this bird in the wild, it is actually seen here sometimes in São Paulo city but despite that incredibly loud call it is such a secretive and cryptic bird so it is very hard to see.

And have you seen the research that some insects are more attracted to the mantis than similar flowers?
