You get 1 answer: What is the coolest animal most people don't know about?

Unrelated but you mention Sao Paulo- does the city zoo still keep Spix Macaw, or have they been relocated to the reintroduction scheme now?

As far as I remember there are no Spix macaws at the zoo but there are Lear's macaws kept behind the scenes, I may be wrong about the Spix though.

I know that there are a lot of species not on display being kept at the CECFAU private facility owned by the zoo which is based just outside of Sorocaba so there may be spix macaws being kept there.

Maui’s dolphin:

Maui’s dolphin is a subspecies of Hector’s dolphin and is critically endangered (approximately 55 survive in the wild; and none are in captivity).

It’s found only off the western shores of the North Island in New Zealand; and most people around the world haven’t heard of it unless they’re a New Zealander, a marine biologist or on ZooChat.

Usually I'd go for pangolin or shoebill stork, but seeing that we're on zoochat:

Sarcastic fringehead! (Neoclinus blanchardi)
