I've noticed that quite a few of the giant tortoise sculptures appear to be exactly the same too, so I wonder whether they have all been ordered from the same company or artist that makes them.

Have no idea @Westcoastperson , I guess it might be but have never been to the zoo so can't say for sure.

I think that abstract fountain of antelopes at Philadelphia Zoo is the one that always comes to mind for me.

These are great ! I particularly like the harpy eagle sculpture at the Miami zoo and the Californian condor sculpture at the San Diego zoo, such interesting styles to these.

I like this one, because it educates in a way not possible with live animals (there is no South American foxes in the U.S. zoos).

Description
Located in the ZOO, this drinking fountain features a lion cub. Harry Evans Minty was a respected member of the Park Board in the 1940’s. The redesigned fountain setting is near the Red Panda exhibit on the Tiger Trail. The lion cub likeness is of “Tyke”, one of Minty’s favorites at the ZOO."
